Computer Hackers - A New Breed |
|
Are They Just Socially Challenged Teenagers? |
| |
|
The term computer hacker first showed up in the mid-1960s. A hacker was a programmer -- someone who hacked out computer code. Hackers were visionaries who could see new ways to use computers, creating programs that no one else could conceive. They were the pioneers of the computer industry, building everything from small applications to operating systems. An Artist Of History
Envisager
Studio had the great honor of developing the website for Rick
Hyman, a gifted artist with the uncommon ability to recall
history through his works of art. Rick has been painting since
the age of three.
Rick Hyman is the great-great grandson of Cezar Martin whose family were slaves in Virginia. After the Civil War, they traveled from Virginia to Texas in covered wagons, and were the first wagon train of ex-slaves to arrive in Texas. This story, along with many others, is in Rick's new book,
"My Texas Family: An Uncommon Journey to Prosperity",
published by Arcadia Publishing.
His work has been recognized by Comedian & Actor

Sometimes advances in technology are just too cool to be described as anything else but cool. Certainly, there's no other way to describe an innovation that lets you clip anything you find on the
Internet and send it straight to your mobile phone. You're watching a YouTube video, for instance. Like it? Capture a ringtone and send it to your phone. See something on MySpace or Facebook you really like? Select, clip and send. It's on your phone. Watch videos (and edit them too). Upload stuff from your computer, of course, and then share these with your friends.
It's sort of like turning on a light in your room. It's instantaneous -- takes longer to explain how it works than just to do it. (anyway, who really knows how lights work). Mobile phones will probably start walking soon (after all, they've been vibrating forever), so it was a no-brainer that the techies would develop some software to allow a one click upload from web to mobile phone. |
