Q: Why does Envisager Studio eVisioning newsletter cover mixed topics?
A: Envisager Studio is a forward thinking company. Our client database spans various industries. Therefore, we wanted our newsletter content to be complimentary to those industries and reflective of the vast services that we offer.
Q: How can I scroll faster through a long page on a website?
A: If your mouse has scroll wheels, push down on the wheel (little button between the left and right click button). The pointer on the screen will turn into a circle with up and down arrows. You can now automatically scroll that page by simply moving your mouse. To go back to regular scrolling, just click anywhere on that web page.
Q: How do I find words or phrases quickly on a web page or in a document?
A: Using your Ctrl + F key will bring up a "Find Window" in Windows XP and most programs. You then type in the word or phrase you're looking for and it will find it for you.
Q: I'm planning an event for my company. How do I get sponsors?
A: You can kill two birds with one stone (figuratively speaking). If you have a newsworthy person open the event, i.e. the Mayor, sports star, etc., you could probably get a television or radio station to be one of the sponsors. At the very least they may be very interested in giving you media coverage. And don't forget to write killer press releases.
Q: I'm starting a t-shirt business. Should I worry about copyright laws?
A: You should copyright your designs and trademark your label name to protect them legally.
Q: How do I choose a domain name for maximum sales and/or exposure online?
A: To be a memorable domain name that rolls off the tongue it should be a one or two word phrase that also can be easily associated with what you are marketing on that website. Unfortunately, those have all been gobbled up by domain name investors. So, you are probably going to end up with at least three words in your domain name, unless you want to pay an investor for the rights to the domain they own. And, that can be a possibility since a domain name is a valuable piece of your marketing strategy.
