The J. Anthony Brown Foundation (JABF) was incorporated on April 14, 2003 and was established as a corporation exempt from Federal Income Tax 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code as an organization other than a private foundation.

JABF's mission is to educate and serve children, ages 6 through 17 years, who are living with type I and type II diabetes in South Carolina through summer camp experiences.  These children will attend a weeklong diabetes camp to learn how to control and manage their diabetes.  We believe that children could change the prevalence of this disease in future generations by making lifestyle changes early in life.  Increasing self-management skills can set the standard in how these children will raise their families and potentially reduce the burden of this epidemic.  Summer camp sponsorships will be provided to children who are in need of financial assistance.
